Privacy Policy

When you contact us or sign up

Contact form: the footer form asks for your first name, last name, email and message. We use these to read and reply to you. To limit spam, the contact-submission service sends a salted hash of the request IP address, browser user-agent information and source page to the contact backend.

Donations

Donation details are submitted through Givebutter's embedded form and handled under Givebutter's privacy notice: https://givebutter.com/privacy (opens in a new tab)

WFS may receive donor and donation information through its fundraising account; WFS is confirming its exact access and retention.

The Givebutter form loads its own services when the donate page opens, including requests to Google. Our cookie choices don't control those.

Analytics and cookies

Your cookie choice: this site stores a small record in your browser with a version number, your analytics choice and when you made it. It doesn't contain your name or contact details. The choice currently lasts 180 days, then we ask again. That setting applies only to this choice, not to how long other services keep data.

Our own analytics: we use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages are useful. It runs only if you choose “Accept all” or turn on Analytics, and it stays off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Advertising features stay off. You can turn off this site’s analytics through Cookie Settings. Turning analytics off stops new collection. Events recorded before you changed your choice may finish sending briefly. This does not change how embedded third-party services handle information.

Other services: Cookie Settings controls only this site's own analytics. Embedded forms, videos, fonts and hosting described on this page run under their own providers' practices.

Other services this site uses

Fonts: our typefaces load from Google Fonts, which receives your internet address when pages load.

Videos: the homepage video uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and loads when you press its play button.

Hosting and content: the site, its text and images are served by our hosting and content providers, which process standard technical information like your internet address to deliver pages.

Links out: social media and other sites we link to have their own policies.

Your choices

You can change your analytics choice any time in Cookie Settings, at the bottom of every page.

You don't have to accept analytics to use this site or to donate.
